Week 21 (21st-27th March)

Working on the catch of the day animatic with Maggie, she put it all into Blender for me because I didn't have a clue where to start. We got it complete so now I can focus on the colour script

Asked friends for feedback on my script so I can continue work on it. Just need to find time to update it now

Need to keep working on colour script this week, been very overwhelmed and stressed and busy so not much has happened this week. Nothing had been updated since last week's session but I have taken the feedback on board

Continued Tails retopology on Thursday. Just his head left to model at the moment. Nearly done, just a bit more tricky topology to finish. Should be complete in next weeks 3D support, then I can move on to UV unwrapping hopefully (or modelling his outfit). Only got one more 3D support session left this semester and I don't trust myself to work independently cos I'd likely need Phil's assistance within half an hour, so really plan to make the most of next Thursday

Friday life drawing was fine. Challenging quick poses, duo fighting poses in only one minute so I had to just ignore proportions and focus on just getting readable motion down. Think that’ll help me more in storyboards. I need to do more tonal sessions though, it's all fine using different materials and bright colours but I miss going back to basics with black and white tonal studies. I need to try and continue life drawing outside of this sessions

I’m considering changing my project to something more manageable and small scale. My plan was to continue this film after university anyway, but I’d still have to build and write everything for a trailer and I need more time for visdev because there’s a lot of elements and I really want this to be a good film. So why don’t I shelve it for now and continue it as a passion project outside of uni, which gives me as much time as I need for visdev, and work on something much more manageable that could actually be a completed short film by degree show!
